Delivery

Postage prices can be determined by using the select shipping menu at the basket stage of your order as different postage services have weight and size restrictions depending on the contents of your basket and where your order is being delivered too.

At present we use Royal mail for smaller UK orders and ParcelForce for larger orders.

We aim to dispatch your online order within 1-2 working days. (Excluding edible prints & card cake toppers) Please be aware service timeframes classed as a working day service, does not include weekends or bank holidays.

PLEASE NOTE: All Royal Mail 48 - UK ( 2 - 3 days) and Royal Mail 24 - UK ( 1 - 2 days ) delivery times quoted are estimated and not guaranteed.
Parcelforce delivery using express 48 is a 2 day service from dispatch and express 24 is a 1 working day service from dispatch. Zones 1, 2 and 3. (excluding saturdays)

Because some of the products we stock are very heavy or require special sized packaging due to size we may sometimes split your order up into two or three different boxes. Which means you may receive your order in more than one box, or we may have to send via a courier.
We find this to be flexible and cost effective and allows us to keep our prices low.

At On The Cake Front we know how important delivery is and we dispatch your order as soon as possible.
Once your order is received, it is packed and shipped according to your delivery option you selected. When your goods are dispatched, we will automatically send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched. 

If you order is via courier Parcelforce ( Express 24 / Express 48 ) please ensure to leave a mobile number so you can receive text or email updates on your order. Please refer to our map below for zone information.
 
Please note some of our items are restricted posting ( aerosols, cake sprays, flammables) these items are ParcelForce Zone 1 & Zone 2 ONLY.

This service is for orders under 2kg.

Royal Mail 48 - UK is a 2-3 working day service from dispatch

and Royal Mail 24 - UK is a 1-2 working day service from dispatch.

Royal Mail will no longer carry aerosols or flammable products.

Orders over 2kg have more competitive prices with our express 48 and 24 service by Parcelforce.

Please ensure to select the right service according to your delivery postcode for your order. Delays will occur if the wrong service is selected.

Parcelforce is used for larger heavy orders like sugar paste, large cake boards. Plus it can also be selected for under 2kg weights too.

This refers to the following postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25. Express 24 or Express 48.

Zone 4 - Channel Islands

Euro priority service is a 2-3 day delivery from dispatch.

Zone 5 - Republic of Ireland

Euro priority service is a 2-3 day delivery from dispatch.

we endeavour to achieve a good service but we cannot be held responsible for hub depot break downs, vehicle breakdowns, extreme weather conditions acts of malicious or terrorist incidents or any unforeseen occurrences that delay or curtail your delivery. (Please order in plenty of time for vital deliveries) accidents do happen rarely.

Lost Parcels

In the unlikely event you have not received your parcel within 7 working days we would first ask you to carry out the following checks: 

For Royal Mail Delivery

1) That you have not been carded by Royal Mail to collect from your local sorting office. 

2) That it has not been left in or outside your home i.e. a meter cupboard, porch or left with a neighbour.

For ParcelForce Courier Delivery

1) That you have not been carded by ParcelForce with instruction of how to receive your order.

Having carried out the above checks please contact us by telephone or via the contact us page stating your order reference, delivery address and contact details. We shall investigate lost parcels with our couriers and will arrange a *replacement or full refund in the event the goods cannot be found. 

Please note we will require a minimum of two working days to investigate lost parcels with our couriers.

*Please note on the cake front cannot be held liable for replacements or issue refunds for lost orders if your customer information i.e. any part of your address given to us by you on your order is incorrect. If your order requires re-delivery due to this then the full postage charge to resend your order will apply.

What happens if I am out when the courier attempted delivery ?

Royal Mail

If you order has been dispatched by Royal Mail, a ‘Something for you' card will be left through your letter box. 

You can re-arrange a delivery by calling the number on the card or on-line at:  

http://www.royalmail.com/personal/receiving-mail/redelivery/ Royal Mail will also deliver to your local post office for a fee or you may wish to collect your goods in person from the local sorting office. Please don't forget to take the card and especially ID with you !

ParcelForce

If you order has been dispatched by Parcel Force, a courier card will be left through your letter box. 

You can re-arrange a delivery by calling the number on the card.

Redeliver to the same address is free of charge
